Why clean EXIF before you share photos
GPS, camera serials, and software tags often hitchhike in JPEG EXIF. Strip them locally before social or marketplace uploads.
Phone and camera JPEGs commonly embed EXIF — capture time, camera model, and often GPS coordinates. Before you post to Instagram, X, Etsy, or a client gallery, that hidden data can leak a home studio or shoot location.
What to strip
- GPS / location fields
- Camera and software tags
- XMP / IPTC when present
- C2PA / JUMBF containers (marker strip — not full cryptographic validation)
Keep it local
Upload-based removers require trusting a remote server with originals. AI Metadata Cleaner runs in your browser: canvas, ffmpeg.wasm, and libraw-wasm stay on-device after first load. Free batch + ZIP, no account.
Limits (honest)
We do not remove SynthID or invisible pixel watermarks, and we do not guarantee platform AI labels. Fingerprint protection is on by default for images (light noise); turn it off when pixels must stay exact.
Ready? Clean files locally or detect markers first.
