Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the AI Metadata Cleaner website located at https://aimetadatacleaner.pro ("Service", "Site"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

1. Description of Service

AI Metadata Cleaner provides a free, browser-based utility allowing users to inspect and remove embedded metadata—including EXIF, GPS location coordinates, XMP, IPTC, PNG text chunks, and C2PA / JUMBF content credentials—from images (JPEG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, HEIC, and select Camera RAW files), videos (MP4, MOV, WebM), and PDF files. The Service also offers an optional pixel-level noise injection feature intended to disrupt automated perceptual hash and fingerprinting mechanisms.

2. Technical Limitations & Important Disclaimers

By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree to the following technical parameters and boundaries:

No Removal of Invisible Watermarks: The Service cleans header fields, standard tag containers, and discrete content credential blocks. It does not detect, decode, or erase invisible pixel-domain or frequency-domain watermarks (such as Google SynthID or specialized algorithmic steganography embedded into raw pixel or audio matrices).
No Removal of Visible Watermarks: The Service does not edit or crop visual graphical overlays, logos, or burned-in text timestamps.
Third-Party Platform Classifications: We make no guarantee or warranty that files cleaned by this Service will bypass, pass, or be categorized in any particular manner by third-party platforms (including but not limited to social media networks, algorithmic content moderation systems, or automated AI detection tools).
Browser Memory Constraints: Processing occurs locally via WebAssembly (ffmpeg.wasm, libraw-wasm, pdf-lib). Extremely large video files or multi-gigabyte RAW archives may exceed your browser's allocated memory limits and trigger memory exhaustion crashes beyond our control.

3. User Content & Intellectual Property

Your Ownership: You retain full ownership, copyright, and all associated rights to any files you process using the Site.
No License Granted to Us: Because file processing occurs exclusively in your browser session without uploading files to our infrastructure, you do not grant us any license, title, or interest in your content.
Site Intellectual Property: The interface design, brand identity, layout, documentation, compilation, and proprietary client-side source code of AI Metadata Cleaner are the intellectual property of the Site operators and are protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service solely for legitimate, lawful purposes in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

Interfere with, degrade, or bypass the security or performance of our web hosting or CDN infrastructure;
Probe, scan, or launch automated denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks against aimetadatacleaner.pro;
Use the Service in violation of applicable data privacy, intellectual property, or export control laws;
Misrepresent modified or stripped files as verified original evidence in legal proceedings where chain-of-custody requirements apply.

5. Free Access & No Warranties

AI Metadata Cleaner is provided free of charge, with no subscription plans, paid credits, or account registrations.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR UNINTERRUPTED OPERATION. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR THAT METADATA STRIPPING WILL MEET YOUR SPECIFIC LEGAL OR OPERATIONAL COMPLIANCE STANDARDS.

6. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL AI METADATA CLEANER, ITS OPERATORS, AFFILIATES, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:

YOUR ACCESS TO, USE OF, OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE THE SERVICE;
UNINTENDED FILE CORRUPTION OR BROWSER CRASHES OCCURRING DURING LOCAL PROCESSING;
ANY DETERMINATIONS OR ENFORCEMENT ACTIONS TAKEN BY THIRD-PARTY PLATFORMS REGARDING YOUR MEDIA;
RELIANCE ON THE COMPLETENESS OF METADATA REMOVAL FOR CRITICAL PRIVACY OR SECURITY PURPOSES.

BECAUSE THE SERVICE IS COMPLETELY FREE OF CHARGE, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED ZERO DOLLARS ($0.00 USD).

7. Modifications and Termination

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time without notice. Continued use of the Site following any updates to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with standard commercial practices and applicable general laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
